Beg Teen Ballet Grades 7+
Our Beginning Ballet class welcomes individuals new to ballet as well as dancers seeking to complement their existing training with ballet fundamentals. In this class, students will learn the core principles of ballet technique and proper placement. We will also focus on building strength through correct alignment and developing a comprehensive understanding of the ballet curriculum.
This ballet class is tailored for students who have 2 to 3 years of previous ballet training. Throughout the course, we will concentrate on refining proper ballet technique, building strength and flexibility, and improving body alignment. Dancers will expand their understanding of barre work, center exercises, and traveling steps. We will also integrate existing ballet vocabulary into increasingly intricate and demanding combinations.
This class introduces dancers to the art of pointe work with a strong emphasis on proper whole-body alignment, core strength, and the development of calf and foot strength essential for dancing en pointe. Through focused barre exercises, dancers will increase articulation and flexibility of the feet while building the control and stability necessary to balance on pointe. As skills progress, center work is introduced to further develop technique and confidence. All pointe classes require previous ballet training. Readiness for pointe work is determined by each student's individual strength and physical development, not by age. Placement is at the teacher's discretion.
This combined Intermediate/Advanced class is designed for dedicated ballet students ready to elevate their training to the highest level. Dancers will deepen their understanding of ballet vocabulary and curriculum with a strong emphasis on proper technique, strength, flexibility, and anatomically correct alignment. Greater attention is placed on musicality, movement quality, and artistry as students refine their execution and expressive performance presence. Prior vocabulary and curriculum are woven into increasingly challenging combinations, pushing dancers to demonstrate mastery in both technical skill and artistic expression. A minimum of 3 to 4 years of prior ballet experience is required. Placement is by teacher discretion only.
