Steffi Nossen Dance Company

The Steffi Nossen Dance Company is the school’s premiere performance ensemble for pre-professional dancers grades 9th-12th. Company members are selected from our most technically advanced dancers in the Master Class program through an audition in the Spring. Company Dancers are trained in an extensive, well-rounded curriculum of Modern, Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz and have the unique opportunity to work with world renowned choreographers. The Company is featured in the Choreography Showcase, Community and Benefit Concerts, Annual Gala, and our Annual Concerts in May. In addition, they perform in lecture demonstrations and community outreach programs throughout Westchester and multiple performance showcases in the tri-state area.

Each year, two new pieces are commissioned and created for the Company by current and emerging professional choreographers. Dancers have the privilege to work closely and extensively with the choreographers in the rehearsal process and then showcase their work in various performances throughout the metropolitan area, often sharing the stage with professional dancers. Past choreographers and guest teachers have included Norman Walker, Michael Foley, Mark Morris, Patrick Corbin and Sidra Bell, Adam Barruch, Gierre Godley, Tiffany Rea Fisher, Indah Walsh, Caterina Rago, Annmaria Mazzini, Maxine Steinman and Mathew James, Michiyaya, Cameron McKinney.

Auditions for our Fall 2024 Company Program will be held Saturday, June 1st from 2:30pm – 3:30pm for rising 9th Graders – 12 Graders. Please RSVP to Jessica DiMauro Marks, Artistic Director:  jdimauro@steffinossen.org
