A Choreography Showcase brings together notable professional choreographers and artists along with pre-professional dancers from across the region in this unique performance designed to highlight new, innovative work in a culturally driven community. The Showcase is held at The Emelin Theatre a renowned, Westchester-based theater, in the vibrant city of Mamaroneck, NY. As part of our audience development programs we hold a Q&A after the show with all the dancers and choreographers. This is a great opportunity for both the audience and the choreographer to gain feedback and insight into the choreographic process and audience perception of the work.

Our Meredith Weddle Community Concert is an important part of the Steffi Nossen Mission and Outreach Program allowing over 700 children and adults who would not typically be able to attend a dance performance be part of an exciting evening of dance and artistic expression. Our audiences includes a diverse group of children and adults with developmental disabilities and other community groups and organizations that are extremely appreciative of this wonderful opportunity. Our dancers benefit from the unique experience as well, sharing the art of dance for such a special audience gives a broader sense of purpose and community values to our dancers and families.

Our Annual Concert is the culmination of a year of technical and artistic growth in our Core Program, Master Class Program, and additional Performance Groups. Original theme and choreography are used to enhance the dancers’ experience while keeping the audience entertained and engaged in this unique and beautiful performance. Original music is composed and hand-crafted costumes are designed for our youngest of performers. The craft of storytelling through dance and music is highlighted by our talented dancers, musicians, costumes designers, lighting designers, and stage managers.
Dance is a universal language that transcends communication barriers to touch audiences of diverse backgrounds. The Steffi Nossen School of Dance emphasizes the art, joy, and discipline of dance.
