Spencer Pond is a freelance dancer based in New York City, and founder of The American Jazz Company, a concert dance company dedicated to preserving and expanding the art of the American dance form. He has enjoyed performing for audiences everywhere from beer gardens in Queens to the Minskoff Theatre with choreography by James Kinney, Sue Samuels, Christopher Jackson and others. Originally from Hartford, CT, Spencer trained in classical ballet under Samantha Dunster and Jazz under the tutelage of Darlene Zoller. Spencer has now been apart of our Summer faculty for 2 years, teaching Repertoire and Jazz technique in our Musical Theater programs. He is also the choreographer for Jazz Ensemble 2019!
