Sheri Cowart
Sheri Cowart knew she HAD to dance since she was 3 years old, and she has never stopped! Growing up in California, Sheri started acting, singing and dancing professionally at a young age in commercials and television, and performed with Burch Mann’s American Folk Ballet as a teen. After graduating from Occidental College with a BA in Speech and Drama she embarked on a musical theater career that spanned several decades, including performing on Broadway, in national and international tours, regional theaters, and in films, commercials, television specials and industrials. Sheri’s second act included receiving an MA degree in Occupational Therapy from Mercy College and she was fortunate to have spent18 years as an OT at Blythedale Children’s Hospital. After training in the Mark Morris Dance for PD program, Sheri is happy to start her third act teaching Dance for Parkinson classes through Steffi Nossen.
