The Dance in Education Fund reaches out to our Westchester neighbors making dance education and performances available to diverse audiences and groups.
 
Outreach

We provide dance services for schools and community organizations: teachers, choreographers, classes and performances.

  • Artist In School residencies presenting dance as an art form as well as curriculum based programs
  • After-school classes and workshops in creative movement and dance techniques
  • Pre-school creative movement programs
  • Performances by the pre-professional Steffi Nossen Dance Company as well as professional dance companies at schools, recreational and community centers, and hospitals
  • Dance classes for students with special needs (see Moving Wheels & Heels below).


 
Moving Wheels & Heels

Moving Wheels & Heels - An integrated dance class for students of all abilities, wheelchair & stand up, to explore the joy of movement. Classes combines technique, improvisation and movement to increase strength, range of motion, enhance students’ creativity and self esteem, and make new friends. Classes will have live musical accompaniment.These Monday classes are supported by generous individual and corporate funding. Your contributions will help sustain future programming.
