Upcoming Guest Artist Program Workshops

Join Theater Dance performer, educator and choreographer Justin Boccitto in a 3-session workshop on three Fridays, January 15, 22, and 29. Justin will teach various theater dance techniques including tap, soft-shoe and jazz dance. His open-level classes take place at 4:30-6 pm for ages 14 and above. Justin studied at the Circle in the Square Theatre School and Centenary College Young Performers’ Workshop. He has taught classes at Juilliard School, Broadway Dance Center, and Broadway Artists Alliance, and Fosse Foundation for the Performing Arts. In New York City he has served as Director/Choreographer for such venues as Circle in The Square Theatre School, NYC Tap Festival at the Duke theater, New World Stages; regionally, he has staged productions for Westchester Broadway Theater, Helen Hayes Theatre Company and Youth Theatre, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and Westchester and Dutchess Community Colleges.

April 9, 16, and 23 bring a West African Dance and Drumming Workshop with Marion Jones Archer Marion, founder and choreographer of the Revelators Dance Troupe, has been teaching and choreographing West-African Dance, drumming and cross-cultural movement throughout Southern Westchester for the past 10 years. She trained with native West African dancers for over two decades in authentic West-African dance forms and traditions. She holds a BS in Theology from Hugee Theological Institute.

Watch for Spring Dance Works, taught by Annie Doss, an innovative class combining modern dance technique, strength training, composition and choreography leading to an In-Studio Showing in June.
Be a dance maker! Annie, a Steffi Nossen alumna and member of DiMauro Dance. A graduate of Marymount-Manhattan’s dance department, she has studied at Tisch School of the Arts. Her own choreography has been shown at a variety of area venues.

Same program and location as above. These performances are offered free of charge to invited guests from local community and social service organizations. A section is reserved for General Admission and tickets are $10 for students/seniors, $15 adults.
